WE COULD START OFF WITH...

The three months mid-year holiday ended last night, and as I woke up this morning I realized that entering my third year of studying design (industrial design), I will be faced with numerous tasks and new chapters of learning. I really don't mind though, I am in state of wanting to enjoy what I do, and as I expected, the highlight of today was pretty much meeting friends and sharing stories. Of course, we can all be thankful for that.

I went to a small library located near campus today and borrowed Banana Yoshimoto's Kitchen; I have wanted to read this book for a very long time, so being able to find it at a place near home makes me feel good. The thing that I love about borrowing books from libraries is the due time of reading. I have two weeks to finish this book, and to be honest, I often need that kind of time pressure to make sure that I finish a reading. At times, especially when college tasks are rushing the soul out of me, I end up putting my reading habit on delay, and I have more than once, left reading books unfinished. Reading perks your mind, and ever since I was able to peruse, it has become one of the few activities that I actually do enjoy. Each year of growing up until this day, my parents would always buy me one book on my birthday, and I believe that it is one of the habits that eventually drove me towards enjoying reading. I spend half of my allowance each month on readable items, including magazines.

If anything, I have decided to start the year with a good thing to do, just to make sure that I get a grip of myself before unwanted and unexpected events comes hunting me somewhere down the road. It would be nice though, really if I could wear a pair of black silk shorts while doing so. I have a vivid imagination of it's soothing feel on my unsightly pair of thighs.
