LE SPLIT

In 2009, five years after Jil Sander left the Prada group which is responsible for 75% company share of her namesake label, she announced the creation of her own fashion consultancy. First client? No other than the now-ultra-hype Japanese fast retail company, Uniqlo. Soon afterwards, +J was born, a collection of high quality luxurious basics with purity in design, beauty, and comfort build for all. Well, at least that's what you read as you open their web; but come on, Jil Sander and Uniqlo? Nothing can possibly go wrong.

If you happen to read my previous posts, you might notice that I am a huge fan of Uniqlo. Their creative direction is the best, hands down. When they announced the +J collection, I couldn't be more thrilled. But I was sad for sure, to find out today that the best (designer x fast retailing) collaboration ever is calling out for a split. We will miss you +J.

(my favorite +J pieces of this season, a collection of things I would like to have)

I have finished reading High Fidelity by Nick Hornby. It was nice and light and very British, I like the fact that Rob is always explaining his ways through with bands, songs, and album titles. I am currently looking forward to reading Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis; every time I plan on buying the book, it is always out of stock and I havent got the chance to read it yet. That leather shopping bag is by Maison Martin Margiela, and the moto boots are by Rag and Bone.

My selection is all black, I know. I have a pretty boring style taste, you think? Well, I'm happy with it.
